It is very very important!!!
Please pay special attention to this, This is a picture of my wife (Lisa), this pic was taken in April right after her
first surgery. She is fighting ostoe sarcoma (bone cancer), I am posting this on Dec 11th. To this date she has had
four surgery's. The tumor started on her spine, they have completely replaced one vertebrae and done a
lamenectamy on her spine. 5 different chemo therapy sessions haven't stopped it, in fact it keeps growing
when they go in for each new surgery, now the cancer has made its way into her spinal cord and has stopped
function on her left leg, it has also spread into her back muscles. I am posting this here so that people praying for
her can see who they are praying for, and also in the hope that more people will pray for Lisa, God can heal
her!!!
Lisa just turned 30 yr's old on Dec 3rd, and Dec 8th was our 12 year wedding anniversary. Our two
daughters are Mackenzie age 9 and Wendi age 6. A lot of people have been trying to speak to me of God's
Will, that perhaps its not his will to heal her, call me selfish or stubborn but I just do not believe that its Gods
will for a 30 yr old woman to die and leave two small children behind. So please if you read this then please
pray for Lisa, we are not looking for donations or charity, only for prayer partners. If you know of somebody
in another state that will help us pray or of another prayer chain then please notify them so that they can stand
with us. I Love Lisa beyond measure and cannot bear the thought of being separated from her in this life.

Update #1
Wed. December 19th
Lisa is scheduled for another surgery today.
Her spinal fluid hasn't stopped leaking from the fourth surgery.
So they are going in today to patch it up.
Due to the leakage she had a rough weekend, she came down with her
second case of spinal meningitis since October.
Please keep her in your prayers, they have to get the leak stopped
before they can proceed with any more treatments.
Update #2
Lisa came through the surgery strong, they put a port in her head so that
they can run chemo down into her spinal cord, also for the first time since the
cancer has begun they found bad cells in the spinal fluid. Please continue in prayer
with us that God will stop this growth and totally heal her of this. She has lost
mobility in her left leg and the right one is very weak, Once again, I plead with you
that if you know of another person or church to call that will help us pray then
do so. Lisa will not be home for Christmas, Perhaps for New Year.
Update #3---Jan 3rd
They have done a bone marrow test on Lisa today.
If the results come back positive then they are going to start another
treatment, if not then she might get to come home this weekend.
We should know the results by tomorrow hopefully.
(those of you who have dealt with hospitals and the eternal waiting
on tests results know why I say hopefully)
Update #4----Jan 9th
Still no results on the bone marrow test, don't know what the hold up is.
Her oncologist is supposed to try and find out tomorrow. On a brighter note
Lisa did get to come home Friday Jan 4th, its been bitter-sweet. She is such
an active person and now she is bed ridden, she can wiggle her right foot and has
limited movement in her arms, she has be be fed and taken care of just like
she used to do for her children, still spirits are high and we are still believing
God to do what he said he would do, when you pray, please pray for God
to restore any damage to her nerves, many thanks to everybody, please keep
the letters coming in as they are such a blessing.
Update #5-----Jan 10th
We finally got the bone marrow test results back today, they came back
negative, ( Thank God!!! ). We believe that, that is just the first in a long
line of better reports. Everybody who has sent letters or called has been
such a blessing, especially the kind lady who called and told me about the messed
up page link.
Update #6------Jan 16th
Lisa went back to UAMS at little rock on monday for another round of chemo.
This is a 5 day treatment, besides the smaller treatment that they ran through
her head port, directly into her spinal fluid. On the last MRI a few weeks ago
it came back that she had growth on her ménages ( the sack that holds the
spinal fluid around the brain ) As always we are believing that God will take
care of that along with the rest. We are also believing God for a complete
miracle not a partial one, I don't believe that God plans to kill the cancer
and leave her a invalid, ( some of her family would settle for that ) but Lisa
and I are believing for a complete healing!!!
Update #7-------Jan 28th
I've been holding off on updates as things seem to change daily.
Lisa hasn't got to come home yet, the last chemo really knocked her
body way way down. She has picked up an infection of some kind in her
throat, Since she has gotten sick from the last chemo she is losing even
more of her muscle, due to the fact that all she wants to do is sleep, plus
for the first time since the beginning depression has started to try and set
in on her, sleeping is her answer to not facing the world right now. (Weeping
may endure for the night but Joy cometh in the morning) Things look bad, but
we aren't going by what we see here, All I can tell myself is what Jesus said in
the Bible to Jairus ( fear not, just believe ). Please stand with us folks, Lisa
doesn't have the strength to believe for herself right now and badly needs
people who will help us make up the gap.
Update #8--------Jan 30th
Lisa may get to come home this weekend for a couple of weeks of rest.
This will be the first time I have asked for anything besides prayers from ya'll.
Don't break into a sweat :0) its not money I am asking for. Firs let me explain
the situation to you. Lisa's hospital is about 3 hrs drive from home, and when
she comes home she has to be brought by ambulance due to the fact that she has
to stay on a hospital gurney plus they usually have to give her pain or nausea shots
on the way. The insurance company will not pay for the ambulance trip, nor will
the ambulance service discount it...it's a 700.00 trip one way. Which is about
300.00 less than I make a month on my job!!! If any of you knows of a medical
service or some kind of organization that can help us with this then please let me
know. Meanwhile the American Cancer society gave me a list of e-mails for
our state officials saying that perhaps they can get this taken care of for us. If
you can take a minute to drop at least one of them a line I would appreciate it.
One e-mail (mine) they may not pay much attention to but several of they they
cannot ignore. Our senator is Blanche Lincoln her e-mail is

When you mail them just type in the header ( Regarding Lisa Martin ).
On a happier note, Lisa received her 1000th e-mail / prayer response on
Sunday. Thank you all so very much for taking time to write and pray
with her via the e-mail. I would especially like to thank the one's who sent
the Music CD's, Healing scripture books and Healing videos. Please keep the
e-mails coming as they are an inspiration for us both.
Update#9---------Feb 6th
Well the weekend has come and gone and Lisa didn't get to come home.
Her blood counts keep dropping down to low, so they need to get her
blood back up to par before she can come home. Lisa's family is a believing
Christian family, but they still aren't convinced that God will give her a compete
and total healing. Some think that I am just in complete denial because I refuse
to believe that God will let her die, but none the less I have put my trust in God
and have stepped out on Faith!!!
Update #10----------Feb. 10
Please pray, Lisa's blood is still down, She has a yeast infection in her
throat from all of the antibiotics and she cant eat or drink. Now she has
a staff infection in her chemotherapy port. Please pray so that Lisa can be
healed and come home. I miss her........
Update #11----------Feb. 12th
The Dr's finally came out and said no hope yesterday.
Please pray, I know God hears and answers prayers.
I'm standing as strong in the faith as I can, Please stand with me.
I refuse to let me wife go!!!

Update #12------------Feb 22nd
Lisa finally got to come home today. God willing this will be the
last ambulance ride she will ever have to take. Very anxious for
God to do his part, as we have stood our ground and done our part.

Update # 13-------------Feb 28th
The Dr is saying it could be a matter of day's or even today.
Please pray, I cannot bear the thought of being without my wife, or my children
loosing their mother. If you know of any prayer chains please contact them!!!
Words cannot express my pain, I cannot loose her!!!
Update #14--------------March 9th
Lisa is awake and to herself again. God and Dr's brought the swelling back down in her head.
Still the Dr says its just putting off the inevitable. In her words (the Dr) she is just buying a
few more days. We are still praying and believing though. Expecting God to do something soon as
it is hard to see her in more pain and weaker as time passes.
Please still be much in prayer and stand with us.

Update #15---------------March 16th
For the 4th time God has given the Dr's wisdom on how to pull Lisa back from the
brink of death. They are amazed at how tough she is, they say how that a normal person
would not be awake or possibly even alive by now. She has so much to live for, I still cannot give up
please keep on praying with us, In Luke 18 Jesus spoke a parable to his disciples that they
should always pray and not give up. Please help us.
Final Update March 28th
God says that as the heavens are above the earth so are my ways above your ways and
my thoughts above your thoughts. Around 6:30 this morning Lisa went home to be with the Lord.
All my life I've heard people says that when somebody passes away, but its never been so real to
me as it has been this morning, or meant so much...no more sickness no pain, that makes my heart
glad because I know how much she has been hurting. Where is our miracle???? Well according to
the Dr we got one just not the one we wanted, Really there should be no medical reason that
Lisa has been here this last month. God has a plan, we will have to follow that plan. When King
David's baby died he said my child cannot come back to me but I can go to him, Lisa the girls and I
will all be together again.....We appreciate all of your prayers so much. If you can remember Lisa's
family and our family in your prayers that we will truly be thankful. God Bless each and every
